Free From Me

'I am an easy going, fun loving girl who finds comfort in reading and writing. Even when my poems turn sad, I hope they help others feel a little less alone.'
Bottled up feelings in my heart.
Emptiness claws at my lonely soul
I scream silently as people stare
Darkness engulfs me
And I watch as it eats my sanity away
They say it gets better but does it really?
A bad day is just 24 hours they say, but why does mine look like infinity?
How does it feel like to be happy?
I question myself
And I hate to be me
I want to cry, I want to scream but I just stare,
Plainly at the walls built around me
And for the first time in a while, I smile
A smile so painful my cheeks hurt.
I question my sanity, as sleep with its terrors safely take me away
To a dream world where sorrow and joy have no borders
I thank my stars,
For at last I'm free
Free from the demons in my mind
Free from the bondages of my enraged soul
Free from me.......
