Today,
The sky forgot how to be blue.
It woke in grey,
Heavy,
Breathless,
A ceiling of quiet,
Pressed low over the day.
The light moved slowly,
As if limping.
Clouds drifted
Like thoughts, that refused to clear.
Even the wind
Spoke softer.
Careful not to break
The fragile silence.
I searched the horizon
For Colour
For that familiar
Open blue
That once promised
Everything was still possible.
But the sky stayed muted,
Holding its sorrow close.
And beneath it
I understood something –
Some days
Even the heavens
Forget how to shine.
And the world
Beats quietly
Inside a long
Unfinished sign
